The safari drives exceeded our expectations. Sean and Abed you are amazing. We saw our favorite animals and took beautiful photos. Memories captured forever. The food and staff, servers, Chef – thank for all the memorable meals.

If Thornybush Private Nature Reserve is on your list of travel destinations, then Siviti is certainly a lodge well worth considering for your stay.
On arrival, all staff members were lined up outside the attractive lodge entrance and welcomed us with friendly waves and big smiles. This hearty welcome lingered throughout our stay and it soon became evident that the staff at Siviti take pride in their individual roles and work together as a team to make their guests feel at home and pampered. Chef Prince and his talented kitchen team prepare exquisite meals which are sure to tantalise the tastebuds of guests from around the globe. The six well-appointed guest suites are stylishly furnished and promise privacy and comfort. You can enjoy the bush from your private deck, plunge pool, outdoor shower or bathtub.
The majestic cry of a Fish Eagle got us up for the early morning game drives. Under the guidance of our superpro and knowledgeable guide, Sean and our experienced tracker, Abet, we managed to see the big 5 during our two day stay at Siviti. The bushveld scenery and game are abundant, the safari vehicles comfortable and the spread of refreshments offered on the drive simply lovely!
As the night sky settled in, we fell asleep to the chainsaw like sounds of leopards and the laughter of hyenas in the distance which all added to the thrill of this unforgettable bush experience.
Lodges like Siviti have soul. Here guests can truly experience peace and marvel at the splendour of what the African bush has to offer.
Siviti was honestly the most incredible lodge that I have been to so far. Everything from the rooms, the service, the game rangers, the food and everything in between was exceptional. The attention to detail was more than perfect and there is not one single thing I could fault about our stay. The team at Siviti went out of their way in every way possible to make our romantic dinner in our room special for us. It was honestly so heart-warming to see such kindness and care put into the small details.

Thank you Siviti Staff for this outstanding and adventurous stay @Siviti!!
Where shall we start, well of course going on Safari with Reckson & Nic giving us a skilled tracking insight and remote sightings of all the Big 5 and some of the Ugly5 😊😊
Then swopping to Sean and Abed for another Big 5 sighting and one of the most memorable Pangolin view accompanied with stories on animal wildlife and local gossip @Siviti. Relax time and wonderful birthday surprises including Bush experiences and a massage in the room were most memorable. A big cheer to the delicate Siviti kitchen and most friendly, easy going service especially of Bongs and Myer making us feel at home away from home also making our honeymoon very special and unforgettable! All in all a very recommendable and outstanding wildlife adventure agg a cosy and comfortable lodge – no wishes left open.

Siviti is one of the most incredible lodges we have ever been to. We came here on honeymoon and we have had the best time and the most beautiful time.
The staff: Deidre, Ryan, Lucas, Brian, Ntsako, Anna & Winter have been impeccable at making us feel at home and giving us the experience of a lifetime.

We had a very special time, being my first travels since covid in some ways it was emotional primarily because it reminded me that we have the most amazing country with some of the best hospitality warmth and standards in the world. There is something about the warmth of South Africans that is so special and sincere.
I am going to breakdown my trip into various categories;
The Thornybush Reserve
My last visit was in 2008 when the fences were still in place it has made such a huge difference not only aesthetically but in terms of game viewing. The reserve is the same size but it feels so much bigger, brighter, better. The access from Hoedspruit airport is so easy and with the direct flight from Cape Town the lodge is well positioned.
Staff & Management
The genuine warmth and hospitality as well as the efficiency is evident, there is such a positive willingness in both attitude and approach. One of the highlights of my stay was the hospitality from all the staff.
Food
I was fortunate to experience 5 different lodges, there is no double that Siviti is at the top of their game, please don’t change anything, its just perfect and so much more, some of the best food I have ever experienced in both taste, variety, presentation and style, the lunch styled platters as well as the boma dinner were highlights. I believe that you can taste love, kindness and enthusiasm in food and you certainly do!
Game Drives, Ranger and tracker
Once again please don’t change anything, the most superb team ever, just made for this type of work , beyond professional, intelligent and enthusiastic. They are an amazing team and Ryan made the experience come to life. I really felt immersed in the experience, it was so exciting and education, nothing needs to be different, just perfect.
The Lodge
Bearing in mind that I had not seen the lodge under its former branding I have no point of comparison. The position of the lodge and rooms is ideal offering both tranquillity and an authentic feel. The size of the rooms (managed to see other rooms) as well as the homestead is very generous. The lounge/dining room/outdoor eating area have great flow onto the inviting pool.

Dear Joy,
Thank you so much for your kind email and our apologies for not having given you any feedback since we came back from our stay at the beautiful Siviti.
We fell totally in love with Siviti Lodge and had a fantastic time.
Everything was perfect from the luxurious accommodation, the friendliest & welcoming staff, delicious food/wine, amazing game drives etc.
The game drives were just fantastic and we were really impressed by the knowledge & kindness of both Andi & Luke (Lucky Luke). It is the best game drives experiences that we have had by far.
They all became like "family" to us and we were really sad to say goodbye. But we will be back:)
